Start the process by understanding the requirements of ANSI N45.2.23, Qualification of Quality Assurance Audit Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants, and become qualified to conduct product, process, and systems audits against ASME NQA-1, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications, and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, Nuclear Quality Assurance Requirements. Upon completion of this comprehensive program, you will be prepared to spearhead your organization’s audit program including internal and supplier audits.

This interactive course, presented largely through hands-on workshops, teaches you the skills you need to plan, conduct, and follow up on nuclear compliance audits.

Course Objectives
Over five intensive days, learn the background of NQA-1:2004 and how it relates to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B as well as other internationally recognized standards such as ISO 9001. The auditing discipline is presented in accordance with the most up-to-date auditing guidelines available for quality and environmental management systems.

  • Understand the overall structure of the nuclear sector and who the key stakeholders are.
  • Recognize the regulatory environment and the requirements against which audits are conducted.
  • Learn how to plan, conduct, and report on audits in accordance with the latest methodologies for product, process, and systems audits.
  • Recognize the importance of key processes that interact with the auditing processes such as corrective and preventive action, and control of nonconformities.
