Certified QMS Lead Auditor Training Course
This version of our RABQSA-certified lead auditor course features workshops
tailored to the working environment of the telecommunications industry, as well
as discussions on the contents of ISO 9001 and TL 9000. This course is designed
specifically to help you learn to audit in the telecommunications industry.
Objectives
- QA Process and Documentation-Learn elements of a
quality management system, including policy, manual, procedures, and instructions
in the telecommunications industry.
- The Requirements-Discuss the requirements of ISO
9001 and the TL 9000 adders.
- The Audit Cycle-Using ISO 19011, learn about preauditing,
auditing, and postauditing follow-up activities.
- Preaudit Activities-Plan audit activities, develop
checklists, perform preassessment visits, and conduct opening meetings for
the telecommunications industry.
- Conducting the Audit-Learn active listening and questioning
techniques, how to handle confrontations, and how to collect objective evidence.
- Postaudit and Follow-Up Activities-Learn how to conduct
closing meetings, write effective audit reports, and issue nonconformance
forms and corrective action reports.

There are mandatory evening sessions for the first four nights concluding with
a two-hour exam on the last day.
Who Should Attend
Recommended for anyone involved in supplier QA efforts (second-party audits),
as well as those leading the implementation of ISO 9000 standards and TL 9000.
Familiarity with ISO 9000 or TL 9000 standards is recommended. This is an excellent
prerequisite for TL 9000 Quality Management System Auditing.
NOTE: To attain registration as an QMS Auditor, QMS Senior Auditor,
or QMS Lead Auditor, you must pass the written final examination,
earn a passing grade in the course continuous assessments, and meet prescribed
professional requirements, including a number of actual audits.
This training course is an RABQSA-certified course and meets the training
requirements for certification of individual QMS Auditors, QMS
Senior Auditors, and QMS Lead Auditors. "Successful completion"
satisfies the training requirements for individual auditor certification accrediting bodies such as IRCA, RABQSA, JAB, and CRBA.
NOTE: Additional versions of ISO 9001 lead auditor training include emphasis
on the automotive (ISO/TS 16949), medical device* (ISO 13485), and aerospace*
(AS 9100) industries. On-site versions are available with emphasis on the
telecommunications industry (TL 9000) and ISO 14001 environmental management
systems.
